The Asbury Jukes are an American rock and R&B group that emerged from the Jersey Shore in 1975. Led by Southside Johnny, the band began recording in 1976 and developed a strong association with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, frequently performing and recording compositions by Springsteen. The two acts have maintained a collaborative relationship spanning decades, with Springsteen appearing on the Jukes' 1991 album Better Days. Known for their energetic blend of rock and soul, the Asbury Jukes established themselves as a notable fixture in the regional music scene during the mid-to-late 1970s.
