In Step is the fourth studio album by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, released in 1989. The album title reflects Vaughan's achievement of sobriety following years of substance abuse that necessitated rehabilitation. This was his final album with Double Trouble and the last released while he was alive. He subsequently recorded a collaborative album with his brother Jimmie Vaughan in 1990 before his death in a helicopter crash later that year.
