Quorthon
Quorthon was a Swedish musician born in 1966 who served as the founder and sole creative force behind Bathory, one of the most influential metal bands of all time. As the band's primary songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist, he was instrumental in establishing the black metal genre and pioneering the Viking metal style that blended metal with Norse mythology themes. Working as a multi-instrumentalist, Quorthon composed all of Bathory's material across their discography. He remained active in music until his death in 2004.
