David Bowie
David Bowie was a British rock musician and songwriter born in 1947 who became one of the most influential artists of the late twentieth century. Beginning his career in the 1960s, he pioneered multiple musical styles throughout his lifetime, ranging from glam rock and art rock to electronic and experimental pop. Known for his constant artistic reinvention and theatrical approach to performance, Bowie worked across genres including new wave, funk, and soul music. Beyond music, he also pursued acting and held roles in film and television. He remained a prolific composer, arranger, and producer until his death in January 2016.
