Puffy AmiYumi, commonly known as PUFFY, is a Japanese pop rock duo formed in Tokyo in 1995. The group consists of vocalists Ami Ōnuki and Yumi Yoshimura, who perform in Japanese, English, and Mandarin Chinese. In North America, the duo adopted the extended name Puffy AmiYumi to differentiate themselves from American artist Sean Combs, who performed under the name Puffy. Since their formation, the group has established themselves as notable figures in the j-pop and pop rock genres, blending Western and Japanese musical influences.
