The Psychedelic Furs

The Psychedelic Furs are an English rock band that emerged from London's post-punk scene in February 1977. Led by vocalist Richard Butler and bassist Tim Butler, the brothers formed the core of the group during a period of significant creative ferment in British music. Drawing from post-punk, new wave, and alternative rock influences, the band developed a distinctive sound that incorporated synthesizer elements and experimental arrangements. The Psychedelic Furs became notable contributors to the broader alternative and indie rock movements that defined late 1970s and 1980s British music.
