The Proclaimers

The Proclaimers are a Scottish rock duo composed of twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid, who began their career in 1983. They achieved initial recognition through their 1987 single "Letter from America," which climbed to number three on the UK charts. International success followed with their 1988 track "I'm Gonna Be," topping charts across Australia, Iceland, and New Zealand. Their 1988 album Sunshine on Leith became their most commercially successful release, earning multi-Platinum certifications in Australia and Canada and selling approximately two million copies globally. The brothers have sold over five million albums worldwide, establishing themselves as significant figures in alternative and soft rock music.
