The Pretty Things were an English rock band established in September 1963 in Sidcup, Kent, deriving their name from Bo Diddley's 1955 composition "Pretty Thing". Active across multiple periods—initially until 1971, then reforming from 1971 to 1976, and again from 1979 to 2020—they became influential figures in British psychedelic and garage rock. Their discography spans thirteen studio albums, including the acclaimed S. F. Sorrow, alongside four EPs and fifteen UK singles. Notable chart successes included "Don't Bring Me Down" and "Honey I Need", both reaching the UK Top 20. Their final album, Bare as Bone, Bright as Blood, was released in 2020.
