Planes Mistaken for Stars

Planes Mistaken for Stars is an American rock band that emerged from Peoria, Illinois in 1997 before establishing themselves in Denver, Colorado two years later. Operating across multiple record labels, the group released three studio albums and four EPs throughout the 2000s, drawing from post-hardcore and emo traditions while incorporating substantial influences from heavy metal and classic rock and roll. After disbanding in 2008, they returned for live performances in 2010 and continued their creative output, releasing their fourth studio album Prey in 2016.
