Pedro the Lion

Pedro the Lion is an American indie rock band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1995 by David Bazan. Operating as a rotating ensemble centered around Bazan's songwriting, the group became known for its introspective first-person narratives and indie rock sound. The band released seven albums and five EPs beginning in 1997 before Bazan dissolved the project in 2006 to pursue a solo career. Pedro the Lion reformed in late 2017, with Bazan resuming performances under the band's name.
