Noel Paul Stookey

Paul Stookey is an American singer-songwriter and activist born in 1937. He rose to prominence as a member of the folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary during the 1960s, performing alongside Peter Yarrow and Mary Travers. The group became influential figures in the folk music movement of that era. Following the deaths of his bandmates—Travers in 2009 and Yarrow in 2025—Stookey remains the sole surviving member of the ensemble. He has maintained an active career as a solo artist and continues his work as a social activist.
