Oscar Peterson
Oscar was a Canadian jazz musician active from 1925 to 2007. Working across multiple jazz idioms including bebop, hard bop, cool jazz, and vocal jazz, he established himself as a versatile performer and interpreter of standards. Based in Canada, Oscar contributed to the jazz landscape through his piano work and vocal performances throughout his decades-long career. He passed away in December 2007 from kidney failure at age 82.
