Mi-Sex is a New Zealand new wave band that formed in 1978. Led by vocalist Steve Gilpin, guitarist and songwriter Kevin Stanton, keyboardist and songwriter Murray Burns, and bassist Don Martin, the group became prominent in the early 1980s with innovative production and energetic live performances. They achieved commercial success with two top 10 singles: "Computer Games" and "People," both released between 1979 and 1980. Their debut albums, Graffiti Crimes and Space Race, also reached the New Zealand top 10. After disbanding in the mid-1980s, Mi-Sex reunited periodically in subsequent decades.
