"Hotter than July" is Stevie Wonder's nineteenth studio album, released in September 1980 on the Tamla label under Motown Records. Wonder recorded it at his newly acquired Wonderland Studios in Los Angeles. The album achieved significant commercial success, reaching number three on the Billboard Top LPs & Tape chart and receiving platinum certification in early 1981. It became his most successful UK release, peaking at number two and generating four top-10 singles there. Music videos were created for three of the album's singles.
