Mel & Kim

Mel & Kim

Mel and Kim was a British pop duo composed of sisters Melanie and Kim Appleby. Emerging in 1986 under the management of Alan Whitehead, the siblings quickly gained prominence in the pop music landscape during the mid-to-late 1980s. Their career reached its peak between 1986 and 1988, establishing them as notable figures in English pop. The duo's trajectory was cut short when Melanie passed away from cancer in January 1990 at just 23 years old, bringing the group's activities to an end.
