The McCoys

The McCoys were an American rock group active from 1962 to 1969, known for blending elements of psychedelic rock, pop rock, and garage rock with sunshine pop sensibilities. Emerging during the mid-1960s, the band became prominent fixtures of the era's diverse rock landscape, drawing from both the raw energy of garage rock and the melodic accessibility of pop-oriented material. Their sound reflected the eclectic experimentation characteristic of psychedelic music while maintaining hooks and arrangements rooted in pop tradition. The group's career spanned the latter half of the decade before disbanding in 1969.
